CHANGE a life with the MIDOMO bracelet

The Midomo bracelet was born out of Red Button Design’s collaboration with jewellery designer Alex Monroe and is a unique piece of jewellery that has been thoughtfully designed to help change lives. The delicate charm bracelet, made of sterling silver and blue topaz, is a limited edition piece created to mark the launch of a revolutionary water purifier, which will bring clean and safe water to thousands of people in developing countries.

The sale of each bracelet finances the production of a Midomo water unit, which can purify, at the same time as transporting, fifty litres of water. This not only provides enough water for an African community to live on for a day, but also relieves them of the long and arduous trek to collect water that, even then, is likely to cause water related diseases such as diarrhoea.

The bracelet’s intricate and feminine design features a number of charms, symbolising water, education, playfulness and abundance. However, arguably the most remarkable and impressive aspect of the bracelet is its unique hand-stamped serial number, which permits its owner to track the journey of the Midomo water unit donated as a result of the bracelet’s purchase.

The Midomo bracelet embodies the notion that ‘you don’t have to change your life to change someone else’s’ and is priced at £275.

Red Button Design will appear on the ‘How to Win in the Den’ episode of Dragons’ Den on 28th September.
